Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need to deliver great service.

Information you give us directly. When you reach out, fill out a form, or become a client, we collect basic contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and job title. If you access our client portal, we create login credentials for you. For certain consulting engagements, you may share business documents with us such as P&L reports or inventory data. That information is used strictly to do the work you’ve hired us for.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, device information, and which pages you visit. We use this to understand how our site is being used and to keep it running properly. We do this through Google Analytics, which you can opt out of at any time at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use the information we collect to deliver and manage your consulting services, set up and maintain your client portal access, send you invoices and important account communications, respond to your questions, send marketing emails (you can unsubscribe anytime), improve our website and services, process your payments, and meet our legal obligations.

We never sell your information to anyone.

We only share your information with the tools and platforms we use to run our business. Here’s the full list:

We may also share your information if the law requires it, or in the unlikely event we merge with or are acquired by another company — in which case we’d notify you well in advance.

As part of delivering our consulting services, we may use AI tools — including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Google NotebookLM — to help analyze data, review documents, and prepare deliverables for your business.

When we use these tools, your business information may be processed through their platforms. Each AI provider has its own data protection practices, which you can review through the links in the table above.

If you’d prefer that we not use AI tools when working with your data, just let us know at legal@mapptechnology.com and we’ll accommodate your request wherever possible.

Our website uses cookies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. You can manage your cookie preferences directly through your browser settings. For full details on what cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

When you make a payment, your card details go directly to our payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, or Wave. We never see or store your full card number or security code. You can review each provider’s privacy practices through the links in the table above.

We keep your information for as long as your client account is active. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data — unless we’re legally required to keep it for things like tax records. We don’t hold onto data longer than we need to.

We use secure, reputable platforms for hosting, payments, and client management — all with their own strong security practices. We take reasonable steps to protect your data and take this responsibility seriously.

That said, no system connected to the internet is completely invulnerable. We’d always recommend using a secure connection when accessing your client portal.

Our services are for business owners and professionals aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, please let us know at legal@mapptechnology.com and we’ll delete it right away.

You have the right to know what information we hold about you, correct anything that’s wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent for us to process your data, or opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email we send.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at legal@mapptechnology.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and we’ll respond within 30 days.

We’ll update this policy when needed. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know by email. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
